The Pennsylvania & Berwind is a fictional regional railroad loosely set in western and central Pennsylvania in the late 1980’s or early 1990’s.

Route Features:

  • 45 Miles of mainline
  • 30 Miles of branchline
  • 33 Interactive industries
  • 3 Large yards
  • Diverse landscape featuring large city scenes and rolling hillsides
  • Freight and passenger operations
  • Tourist museum

The P&B was built for operation. 90% of the industries along the route have commodities that originate or terminate somewhere along the route. It's built to be as self contained as possible but there are interchanges with the outside world on both ends of the route at Juniata and Grafton.

In 2018 I released a free version of the P&B on Jointed Rails' website which included only Juniata to Allegheny. This release includes an additional 30 miles plus numerous branchlines between Allegheny and Grafton. The original "phase 1" release has also been updated and expanded upon in this version. JR is currently still hosting the P&B content pack which includes loco's and rollingstock for use on the route. Check it out herePlease note, the sessions included in the JR content pack will not work with this release.

The original concept for the P&B was first envisioned by Trainz user BillM001 back in the days of Trainz 2004 and 2006, and he’s graciously allowed me to build onto and expand his concept. The original route was a bit smaller and less detailed but had tremendous operating potential. Bill included a detailed PDF when he made the route public which included rules of the operating department, operating schedules and a full overview of every branch, yard, town and industry on the map (I'm including it with this download as well). This is what sparked my imagination and has guided my expansion of his original vision. I've made every attempt to stay as close to the original paperwork, as possible as well as the overall look and feel of the route. Many concessions had to be made since the route nearly doubled in size but much of the paperwork is still relevant.

      Gotta get!

This has to be one of the best routes I have ever driven on. The Industries and Scenery, and Overall Detail is amazing. Looking forward to 3.0

Absolutely Spectacular - complete world at my fingertips

I only discovered the Trainz and the P&B a few months ago - I haven't stopped watching your videos since and was excited to find that I had joined in time to purchase the P&B for myself - fantastic achievement Joe.

Apart from trying to switch Standard Oil efficiently - that grade is murder with a long local, I am having a problem with the GP7 and GP9. It seems that they both have a faulty bogey (Blomberg B (rusty light)) - DREV too.

      Love it.
